WISCONSIN BASED. COMMITTED TO QUALITY WORKMANSHIP.
Owned and operated by Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. (WiLL) -- NAFCO designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes light poles, brackets and high-output LED lighting products for a variety of commercial, industrial, sports and municipal applications. Our primary facility is based in Wisconsin, and we've been making many of our products there since the early 1970s.
NAFCO's focus is serving the lighting agency and electrical distribution market channel. Our team is a dedicated group of product experts, support professionals, problem solvers, welders, machinists, fabricators, engineers, project managers, creatives and programmers working hard to deliver the industry’s best mix of light poles and LED fixtures for high output applications.
manufacturing SINCE 1973.
In 1973, Richard Rupp, a former Air Force Crew Chief with an inclination toward all things electrical and mechanical, was hired by Northern Aluminum Foundry Company to develop and manage an affiliate business known as NAFCO. This new company, located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, focused initially on manufacturing aluminum light poles for the parent company’s key customer, McGraw-Edison.
Richard’s vision, hard work and product development paid off. NAFCO quickly established itself in the lighting industry as a quality manufacturer with exceptional customer support and product expertise. In its first decade, NAFCO produced 40,000+ aluminum light poles, selling in all fifty states and numerous foreign countries.
In 1983, Richard’s son, Randy Rupp, began his career at NAFCO. Together, Richard and Randy expanded NAFCO’s sales reach through a network of independent lighting agencies. They also broadened NAFCO’s product offerings, including a steel light pole line, to meet growing demand.
In 1993, Randy purchased NAFCO from Northern Aluminum Foundry Company. Since then, he has continued to expand NAFCO’s breadth of light pole products through strategic partnerships with the industry’s largest manufacturers and OEM suppliers, delivering an unmatched combination of product offerings, support and expertise. Randy is currently Owner-President of NAFCO's Light Pole Division.
NAFCO JOINS THE LED REVOLUTION.
The only thing constant is change, and NAFCO has evolved continually since its days as a casting and aluminum fabrication shop. Over the past decade, NAFCO entered electronics design, assembly and distribution with the help of Adam Rupp (Owner-President, LED Lighting Division) and Tyler Oestreich (Owner-Director, Digital Marketing & Information Technology).
Today NAFCO continues to manufacture the highest quality light poles, and its offering includes aluminum, steel and fiberglass products in straight, tapered and decorative styles. These light pole products combined with NAFCO's high-output LED fixtures deliver a unique mix of complete lighting assemblies for a variety of commercial, industrial, sports and municipal applications.
NAFCO remains committed to developing and maintaining lasting relationships with its lighting agencies and distribution customers. Although NAFCO's large, diverse line of products rivals those of much larger competitors, NAFCO’s values are that of a small business committed to the highest quality workmanship and honest and loyal support.
rooted in race cars - 60 years of making machines "safer, faster, better!"
NAFCO is located just 30 miles from the famous Road America road racing circuit. This race track is one of the premiere racing facilities in North America, and many of NAFCO's team members have been a part of Road America and the racing/car community in Wisconsin for over 60 years. We are proud to serve a variety of customers in this market.
NAFCO's team has an extensive background in race car design and fabrication, and the engineering and manufacturing principles that we've learned over many decades get applied to our light pole and LED fixture products. Race car design, engineering and fabrication requires extreme attention to detail and an understanding of how a variety of mechanical and electrical systems operate in extreme environments where durability is of foremost safety and importance.
